Excerpt from Rules and Orders of the Overseers of Harvard College: To Which Is Appended the Charter, With Sundry Acts and Instruments, Composing the Constitution of the CollegeThe annual meeting of the Overseers shall be held in Boston, on the third Thursday of the regular session of the General Court, and, With the permission of the Senate, in the Senate Chamber. And the Secretary shall, seven days at least before the time of such meeting, deliver or send to every member of the Board a printed notice thereof, and also of any adjourned meeting.
